In WordPress, you can select either a region/city or a UTC offset for the time zone of the website. The advantage of a city is that WordPress will automatically adjust the time for daylight savings time based on that city. If you instead select a specific UTC offset, WordPress cannot adjust automatically.

Many large cities are not listed in WordPress. If your city is not listed, you can instead select a major city in the same time zone. For example, websites on the west coast of the United States can select Los Angeles to follow Pacific Time.

The following table lists the major time zones and the largest city in that time zone that can be selected in WordPress. If you cannot find your city, locate the row for your time zone or region, and then use the city shown in the table.
