Wordfence is a WordPress security plugin that implements firewall features including IP blocking. IP blocking refers to blocking traffic from a specific IP address or network so it cannot reach the website.
Instructions
Follow these instructions to block IP addresses in Wordfence.
- From the side menu, select Wordfence > Firewall
If you do not see Wordfence in your main side menu, then you probably need to install or activate the plugin first.
- Click the Blocking tab
- In the Create a blocking rule panel, click IP Address
- Enter the IP address
- Enter a short description to remind you why you added this block
- Click the BLOCK THIS IP ADDRESS button
